ABOUT ME

I am Rebecca Gathercole, a make-up and special effects artist based in Yorkshire, with the possibility to travel within and outside the UK. I have roughly four years experience in the industry, working with a wide variety of creatives, in areas including feature film production, corporate film production, music video production, commercial & promotional photography, short film production, editorial fashion, catwalk, live events and theatre production.

In 2018 I finished BA (Hons) Media Make-up with Special Effects at Bradford College, graduating with a 2:1. I also gained qualifications in Level 2 & 3 Hair & Media Make-up in my time at North Nottinghamshire College from 2013 to 2015.

In my time at university I specialised in character design and effects for television and film. I really enjoy in-depth character design, focusing on historical and medical research to ensure accurate and effective character design. I also specialised in the application of prosthetics and the creation and styling of facial postiche.
